Blocks to intimacy - part one.

What limits the capacity for real love and mature love in all our relationships?
Well there are several issues that will get in the way:

1. childhood experiences... dysfunctional parenting will leave it's mark even a strong reaction to negative parental influences is ultimately unhelpful in finding the deepest intimacy/love.
2. ruptures in early relationships and marriages leave chronic wounds that are the kind of classic heartbreak that requires specialised healing.
3. Blocks to a deep spiritual process leave the person solely reliant on human understandings of love.
4. a lack of the capacity for self-love!
   

The profound process of Psychotherapy offers hope but has the unfortunate limits of weekly sessions over months and years. In my approach I have revised this model to intensify the healing process in brief retreats that allow the healing precess to be speeded up.
